Since its formation, the Blockchain, Fintech and Cryptocurrency Research Group (BFCRG) at the University of Southampton Malaysia has become a leader in interdisciplinary research, exploring the disruptive power of blockchain technologies and their role in building a smarter, more inclusive digital economy.
Led by Ts Dr Mohammad Dalvi Esfahani, the group brings together experts in blockchain, fintech, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity to conduct impactful research that bridges academic knowledge with real-world applications. Our focus spans secure decentralized systems, digital finance, smart contracts, and sustainable technology ecosystems.

Ts. Dr Mohammad Dalvi Esfahani is an Assistant Professor of Business Analytics at the University of Southampton Malaysia and the Lead of the Blockchain, Fintech, and Cryptocurrency Research Group. His research focuses on business analytics, blockchain technology, circular economy, and generative AI, with publications in top-tier journals such as Business Strategy and the Environment, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Telematics and Informatics, Journal of Cleaner Production, and Quality & Quantity. With over eight years of academic and research experience, Dr. Dalvi Esfahani is committed to advancing interdisciplinary knowledge and addressing contemporary challenges at the intersection of technology and management.
