Through consultation with fifteen experts in the field, the research identifies twelve key barriers, grouped into categories such as adoption costs, technological challenges, and internal organizational factors. Using an integrated methodology combining Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM), MICMAC analysis, and the Decision-Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL) approach, the study uncovers how these barriers interact and influence one another. Notably, firm size and legal constraints were found to be pivotal and autonomous factors with significant impact on green computing adoption.

This publication marks another significant milestone in Dr. Dalvi Esfahani’s research journey and reflects BFCRG’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, innovation, and impactful scholarly contributions.
